The growth of Iowa C.A.T.S. Dance Company is successful today due to the incredible instruction staff. The teachers and coaching staff bring technical experience and cutting edge choreography to all of the students. We are not only about growing the dancer technically but also investing in the lives of your dancer. The ICDC staff have traveled to New York for the Dance Teacher Summit for continued technical training and teacher certifications, and will continue such programs indefinitely.

Stacy Moore
Teacher & Coach
Stacy attended Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She later went on to Iowa State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. Since graduating from Iowa State, she has obtained her Masters in Education from Viterbo University.

She started dancing at the age of 4 where her dance foundation was built on ballet. She has also been trained in Jazz, Lyrical, Pom, and Hip Hop. Stacy was a teacher assistant at her home studio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and was on the national qualifying division 1 college dance team at Iowa State University.
Stacy has been teaching dance and coaching since 2003. She was the assistant coach at Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Iowa where she choreographed State Championship routines and took first runner up at the NDA National Dance Team Championships in Orlando, Florida. Stacy is also a coach and founding member of the Iowa C.A.T.S. All Star Dance Team where she has coached her teams to local, regional and national awards along with specialty awards including best crowd appeal, innovative choreography, and many others.
She also currently teaches first grade in the Southeast Polk Community School District. Stacy lives in Waukee with her husband Toby and their son Brayden and daughters Julia and Eliana.
Stacy continues her dance education by taking workshop and technique classes from famous dancers and choreographers such as Bonnie Taylor, Michael Schwardts and Mandy Moore. She teaches Ballet and Technique classes.

Hanna Shiplett
Ballet Mistress
Hanna Shiplett is a classically trained ballet dancer and dedicated educator with over two decades of experience in performance, instruction, and choreography. She trained under Missy and Emery Uyehara at Capital City Dance Center performing in classical ballets such as Giselle, Swan Lake, La Bayadere, and Nutcrackers in both Ames and Des Moines.
She continued her development at Iowa State University earning a dance minor which expanded her instruction around training with younger dancers, modern dance, with an honors focus on classical ballet history.
Hanna was accepted into the prestigious ballet programs with Kansas City Ballet and Milwaukee Ballet at top levels. She remains actively engaged in training and regularly performs in local productions with Iowa ballet companies and schools participating in story ballets, pushing her technique as a life long learner. She also enjoys traveling to KC ballet to build on her technique with intensives and classes with their professional teaching staff.
Before transitioning into classical performance, Hanna spent her high school years competing nationally with Dowling Catholic’s state and national champion dance team. She also trained with Amy Peel earning top awards for both solo and group performances on the state and national levels which helps her connect the dots with C.A.T.S. extensive competition program and the classical benefits of ballet.
Known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and passionate teaching style, Hanna is committed to helping dancers grow in both artistry and discipline. She brings a dynamic blend of technical expertise and performance experience to every class, with the goal of inspiring confidence, grace, and excellence in her students.
